Terms of Use

Please read before using Homore. These terms explain what the platform is, your responsibilities, the licence you grant, our disclaimers and Homore’s final say.

Accepting these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Homore website at homore.app, the PWA and any mobile application we release (together, the “Platform”). The Platform is operated by Homore (“Homore”, “we”, “us”).

By ticking to agree when you sign up, signing in with Google, Apple or another third-party account, or otherwise continuing to use the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy. Using the Platform as a business also requires the Business Terms; joining the Content Creator Programme also requires the Content Creator Programme Terms. Where documents conflict, the more specific document prevails on that matter.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not sign up for or use the Platform.

You must be 18 or over. Anyone under 18 needs the consent of a parent or guardian and must use the Platform under their supervision. The Platform is not intended for children under 13.

What the Platform is

Homore is an information, community and matching platform. It helps you browse work and inspiration, organise your renovation needs, send enquiries to firms you choose, receive replies and quotes, join community discussions and use marketplace offers.

Quote summaries, budget matching, AI analysis, price indices, rankings, recommendations, badges and labels such as “approved” or “verified” are for reference only and are not a guarantee, endorsement, professional advice or contract.

Your account and security

You must give true, accurate and current information. You must not impersonate anyone, or create or use multiple accounts to commit fraud, evade enforcement or manipulate metrics.

Keep your password, verification codes and signed-in devices safe. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use.

Third-party sign-in services such as Google and Apple are provided independently by those third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We only receive basic information you authorise, such as your email, name and profile picture.

You can close and delete your account at any time under Account settings › Data requests. Your data is then handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Your content and licence

“User Content” means any text, images, video, audio, reviews, ratings, comments, posts, diaries, unboxings, portfolios, product and service information and other material you upload, publish or send on the Platform.

You keep ownership of your User Content.

Private content (such as unsent drafts, private enquiries, private messages and original quote files) is handled only as described in the Privacy Policy and is never used for public promotion.

This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for: copies others have already shared or saved; system backups kept for a reasonable period; records we must keep by law; and promotional materials made or published before deletion, which may continue to be used for a reasonable period.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree not to assert any moral rights against Homore’s reasonable use of your content within this licence.

You promise that you own or have obtained every right and consent needed to publish the content and grant this licence (including consent from people shown and property owners), and that your content does not infringe anyone’s rights or break any law.

Co-management and share links

Co-management and share links in the renovation journey are for family, partners or collaborators you know and who agreed. Check the user ID before inviting; the owner is responsible for inviting, changing permissions and removing members, and should remove someone when the relationship ends or they are no longer needed.

Notes, photos and records you leave in a co-managed project are seen by the owner and the other members. Do not upload other people’s private information, people photographed without consent or unlawful content, and follow the Community Guidelines.

Anyone holding a read-only share link can see what it shows without signing in. You decide who to share with and for how long, and can close it at any time; we cannot recall copies others have saved, screenshotted or downloaded.

Schedules, remaining working days, reminders, calendar files, PDFs, walk-through checklists and typhoon or Black Rainstorm stop-work notices are for reference only and do not replace your contract, the written notices of your contractor or management office, or government announcements. Stop-work, delay and completion dates follow the contract and what actually happens; Homore is not responsible for decisions you make relying on them.

Reviews and opinions

Reviews must be based only on your own genuine purchase or working experience and must be truthful and fair. You must not write reviews in exchange for any benefit, impersonate others, or write reviews for or at the direction of a competitor or anyone else.

Homore may, but is not obliged to, review, hide, remove, retain or restore any review or content.

Prohibited conduct

You must follow the Community Guidelines. You must not use the Platform to:

Moderation, reporting and enforcement

You can report inappropriate content or users, and you can block any user or firm.

We review reports and aim to take initial action within 24 hours. Serious or potentially unlawful content is prioritised.

If we believe these Terms, the Community Guidelines or the law have been breached, we may, among other things: issue a warning, restrict features, hide or delete content, suspend or permanently terminate accounts, withdraw badges, rankings, rewards or offers, and report to law enforcement.

Service providers and third parties

Interior design firms, renovation and engineering firms, merchants and other service providers are solely responsible for their information, licences and qualifications, quotes, works, products, services and offers, and for complying with all applicable laws.

Homore’s approval of a service provider is only a basic information check and is not a guarantee of its qualifications, licences, quality, financial standing or integrity. Check and judge for yourself before engaging any service provider.

The Platform may link to or use third-party websites and services (such as sign-in, payments, maps, push notifications and AI services). They are governed by their own terms and Homore is not responsible for them.

AI and reference tools

AI quote analysis, recommendations, rankings and price reference indices are automated results that may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. They are for reference only and are not professional, legal, engineering, financial or other advice. Use your own judgement and consult qualified professionals where needed.

The Platform may measure use of AI features in “Tokens”. Tokens can only be used for AI features on Homore, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded. The amounts, uses and validity of the new-member pack, monthly membership Tokens and Tokens earned through community tasks are as shown on the Platform; the Platform may change prices, limits and tasks. If the related content is removed, or there is abuse or a breach of the Community Guidelines, Tokens already earned may be reversed or stopped.

AI membership

The Platform may offer AI membership plans such as “Blue-tick Pro” and “Blue-tick Pro Max”. For now the plans are free and no payment is needed. Eligibility, how a plan is obtained and the content of activities (for example joining the renovation diary, co-developing features, community contribution and social media campaigns) are as announced on the Platform, and some activities may not be open yet.

Membership and its allowance have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and Homore need not refund or compensate when a membership is ended or adjusted.

Intellectual property

The Platform’s software, design, trade marks, logos, text, graphics, arrangement and other content (other than User Content) belong to Homore or its licensors. You must not copy, modify, publish, sell or use them commercially without Homore’s written permission.

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your rights, email us with enough information to identify the content and your rights.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homore is not responsible for:

Limit of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homore’s total liability arising from or relating to the Platform or these Terms is limited to the greater of: (1) the amount you actually paid Homore for the relevant service in the 12 months before the claim; or (2) HK$100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence (such as under the Hong Kong Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 71)), or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Homore and its personnel, agents and partners against any claim, loss, liability, penalty or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your breach of these Terms or the Community Guidelines, your unlawful conduct or your infringement of anyone’s rights.

Suspension and termination

Homore may, at its discretion, suspend or end all or part of your right to use the Platform at any time, in particular if you breach these Terms, the Community Guidelines or the law, or where needed to protect other users, service providers or the Platform.

You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time. Clauses on intellectual property, content licence, disclaimer, limit of liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.

Changes and final decision

For material changes we will give at least 7 days’ notice on the Platform or by email before they take effect; changes needed for legal, security or anti-abuse reasons may take effect immediately. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform and close your account.

Homore may change, suspend or discontinue any part or feature of the Platform at any time.

App stores

If you download a Homore app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following also applies:

You must also follow the App Store or Google Play usage rules.

Governing law and general

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute amicably by email; unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.

If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Homore’s failure or delay in exercising any right is not a waiver of it. Homore may transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms to an affiliate or business successor.

These Terms are published in Chinese and English. If the versions differ, the Chinese version prevails.
